Who We Are
Positive Alternatives is a non-profit Christ Centered ministry serving women who are facing an unwanted, unplanned or at risk pregnancy. We are not a medical facility. We do not perform nor refer for abortion. The volunteers are not professional counselors, but have received training in crisis counseling. We desire to educate women so they are able to make an informed, life affirming decision about their pregnancy.
Positive Alternatives endeavors to establish a close personal relationship with each individual client through face-to-face interviews and peer counseling, and to suplly practical assistance as needed. Contact is first made when the the client visits our office or calls the Positive Alternatives phone number.
Personal interviews help determine the nature of a woman's problem if any. Through repeated contacts with our clients, appropriate help is supplied, enabling a woman to carry her baby to term and plan for the future. We educate women so that they can make an informed decision about their pregnancy and the care of their unborn baby.

What We Do
We provide a variety of services ranging from offering free pregnancy tests to offering counseling, offering referrals for medical care and access to public and private assistance, to post abortion support.
Private and Confidential
Our services are private and confidential. Positive Alternatives does not discriminate regarding race, color, creed, national origin, age, marital status or pro-life persuasion. Our services are offered without charge.
Funding
Positive Alternatives receives no state or federal funding. Funding for our programs comes from private donations, churches and its own fundraising efforts. The Director of Positive Alternatives is the only paid staff person. Volunteers give their time, talent and efforts without pay.
